1. Platform role
YAVA Ride provides technology for route-based carpool/ride sharing, booking, payments, communication and related operational features. Users remain responsible for providing accurate information and complying with applicable law.
2. Accounts
You must protect OTPs and account access, keep profile information accurate and use only accounts you are authorized to control. Suspicious activity may be reviewed. AI/risk flags alone do not constitute an automatic permanent ban.
3. Drivers and vehicles
Drivers may publish rides only when required verification and vehicle eligibility conditions are satisfied. Drivers are responsible for lawful driving, licences, insurance, vehicle condition, route conduct and accurate ride details.
4. Bookings
A normal booking becomes confirmed after the required server-side booking/payment conditions are met. Drivers do not accept or reject ordinary confirmed bookings. Replacement offers caused by affected/cancelled rides are a separate workflow and may require a backup driver to Accept/Reject before expiry.
5. Seats and fares
Seat availability is determined by the backend. Displayed availability is not a guarantee until atomic confirmation succeeds. Published fares must comply with route limits configured by YAVA operations.
6. Payments
Payment methods and gateway availability depend on configured providers. YAVA verifies gateway responses server-side. Version 1 platform fee is ₹0 unless the service is later updated with disclosed fees under applicable terms.
7. Cancellations, replacements and refunds
Cancellation charges, replacement eligibility and refund amounts follow the rules shown in the service and the applicable Cancellation & Refund Policy. Refund timing may also depend on the payment provider/bank.
8. Conduct
Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate, manipulate seats, create deceptive accounts, misuse payments, upload illegal content, interfere with the service or compromise another person’s safety/privacy.
9. Maps, AI and third-party services
Routes, travel times, pickup suggestions, translations/speech recognition and AI outputs may be estimates. Users must apply reasonable judgment and follow road, safety and platform rules.
10. Safety
Use the platform responsibly and follow the Safety Policy. YAVA’s SOS feature is not a substitute for contacting appropriate local emergency services when urgent help is required.
11. Account actions
Authorized Admins may take proportionate account action for verified violations, safety issues, fraud or legal obligations, with audit controls where applicable. Automated risk detection is not itself a final punitive decision.
